Daring bike stunt team rallies round

DARING cyclists put on a high octane display of stunts and jumps at a Bristol department store.

Gardiner Haskins Homecentre organised a weekend of cycling activities and demonstrations to celebrate its new partnership with Raleigh Bikes – one of the world's oldest bike companies.

As well as giving people the chance to see the store's range of Raleigh Bikes and Diamondback race and mountain bikes, customers were also treated to hourly displays by the Dare 2b stunt display team - which included riding their bikes over the roof of their van, around a purpose built assault course.

Customers feeling energetic also had the chance to sprint for victory on the TCX turbo trainer Tour de France simulator.

Each competitor rode the same section of the simulated tour, with the fastest individual winning a Gardiner Haskins voucher.

Raleigh staff were also on hand during the two-day event to advise

Shaun Butcher of Gardiner Haskins said: "Since we started selling Raleigh Bikes here in Bristol, we've been amazed at how enthusiastic our shoppers have been for our cycling products. We know cycling is a passion for many Bristolians."
